We are investing into a processing plant for precious minerals to support local mining activities in the Bicol region of Philippines. This is a pilot project with the intention to expand the programme more substantially during 2025. Historically this region hosted some of the largest mining operations in South East Asia, then became obsolete due to economic and environmental conditions. The grassroots small scale mining activities continued, but in rather inefficient and hazardous ways. With our investment we intend providing these communities with adequate infrastructure, and eventually contribute to the revival of this industry.
